Biography

RockBoar.com Picture    Les Sauterelles are a Swiss musical group established in 1962. At least in the German-language area, they are believed to be as one of the 'closest' tribute bands to the The Beatles, and to The Shadows.

The band had actually been recording since 1965, and established themselves as one of Switzerland's best and most popular groups.

When in summer 1968 Les Sauterelles ruled the Swiss charts with their hit "Heavenly Club", this success marked both their climax and end. Often referred as the "Swiss Beatles", Les Sauterelles had been the undisputed kings of the scene for years.
