Biography Picture    Joey Molland, at sixteen, had played with two earlier bands, The Assassins and The Profiles, when he joined The Masterminds. The band loading gear into the Cavern Club. All pics are taken in Mathew street and show some interesting posters and graffiti of the day.

    They had established a successful residency at a Liverpool club called the Blue Angel and lucked out one night when The Rolling Stones, with manager-producer Andrew Loog Oldham along, came to the club after playing a gig at the Empire Theatre and saw The Masterminds doing Bob Dylan songs.  Oldham would produce a single for The Masterminds, the Dylan cover “She Belongs To Me
